Garden of Prayer

Twinkle Of Twilight

There is little bounce within me
My strength has all long gone,
What purpose is there now
For me to rest upon..
But I won't keep asking questions
That aren't for me to know,
I'll learn to just be still
Without get up and go.

God has another purpose
I will trust His loving will,
No need to fret and worry
To climb another hill.
For He can speak to me
And fill me with Himself,
It was to draw close to His soul
He took away my health.

It has such problems though
For how can others understand,
When the outside looks just fine
Who knows how weak I am.
Will they see the twinkles in the twilight
Or walk away a little cold,
Will they get annoyed
To want me in another mold.

There has to be a place in life
For people who are weak,
Who can't cope with the toughness
And oh, so quickly weep.
Why must we need be strong
And eradicate all pain,
When God draws so very near
To show us weakness is for gain.

For the Lord comforts His people
In Isaiah forty nine,
He has compassion on the afflicted
With love, He says, You're Mine
Come close, abide in Me
And drink now from My stream
I will be to you, your strength
For on My loving heart you lean.
